Rail Trail Closure Update
The City of Claremont has submitted a request for exception to allow motorized wheeled vehicles on the 1.84 mile segment of the City’s Rail Trail to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. This request can be viewed on online at the websites for the City of Claremont and at www.sullivancountyATVclub.org
The city will hold a public hearing as part of the required 30-day public comment period. A listing of public comments will be included in the waiver.
The public hearing will be on Tuesday June 23rd 6:30 to 9:00PM in the John Goodrich Room of the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center, 111 South Street.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments may do so by contacting the City Manager, City of Claremont, City Hall, 58 Opera House Square, Claremont NH 03743, until July 10, 2015.
SCATV trails are OPEN! Cat Hole – Mica Mine – Sugar River Recreational Rail Trail- Arrowhead Ski Area
There is trailhead parking at Veteran’s Park – Burger King – State Trailhead past Home Depot across from the storage facility – Arrowhead Ski Area
CLOSED-The Claremont Rail Trail from the state trailhead to the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center.
