July 26, 2017 Quarterly NHOVA BOD Meeting

The next quarter’s NHOHVA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26th at the Claremont Community Center on 152 South Street, Claremont, NH…

The Executive Board will meet at 4:00 PM and the full BOD will meet at 6:00 PM…

This is a change of location from the past few meetings as well as the day moving from Thursday to Wednesday…

I want to make sure that clubs have plenty of notice to ensure the appropriate representation is present at this meeting…

In addition to the normal agenda, we will have reports from Trails Bureau, Fish and Game, and Committee Reports…

I have appointed two new committees based on the BOD Guidance…the first Committee is looking at the GIA program and the second committee is looking at how more resources can provided for Trail enforcement, i.e, how do we get more Law Enforcement on the Trails…

Additionally, we’ll be providing an update on where we are with the implementation of the online membership for the Club Incentive Law…

As I noted at the Annual Meeting, we have clubs that because of a lack of paying dues, are “technically” in default…in the simplest terms this means they are no longer members of NHOHVA…hopefully this word gets to them…

As a reminder, starting with the 2018 riding season, anyone who registers an ATV/UTV, must provide proof of Club Membership (meaning a club that is a member of NHOHVA) or pay an additional $30 per registration…

Lastly, at the annual meeting, we discussed the possible need to get all clubs on the same membership renewal cycle…the time has come for this decision to be made..we will have further discussion at the July meeting and, if appropriate, initiate the process for a NHOHVA by law change…

I look forward to seeing you on July 26th…

Jim Nuttall, President
NHOHVA
